Club Wyndham Asia Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Are any resorts closed?
A: In line with government directives around social distancing and the restrictions on travel around the Asia Pacific region, a number of our club and associate properties are temporarily closed. This has been a difficult decision but we have acted to keep you – our valued members – and our staff safe.
Our two club resorts in Phuket, Thailand, and Club Wyndham Dreamland Bali are likely to be closed until June 30 under new government regulations to combat the spread of the coronavirus/COVID-19. Meanwhile, all Club Wyndham South Pacific properties in Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Europe are closed until at least May 31 to comply with local restrictions on travel. Five are expected to open on June 1. Club Wyndham and WorldMark by Wyndham properties in the United States are temporarily closed, although some are expected to reopen in the coming weeks.
Some of our Associate Resorts are also closed or have very limited accessibility due to government restrictions, including Ramada Encore by Wyndham Bali Seminyak, Ramada by Wyndham At Zhongshan Park, Days Hotel by Wyndham At Zhongshan Park, Wyndham Grand Plaza Royale Oriental Shanghai, Wyndham Tamansari Jivva Resort Bali and Wyndham Sundancer Resort Lombok.
Please contact your Member Services team using the numbers that appear on our website, clubwyndhamasia.com/contact-us/ and they will be able to go through your options with you of specific resorts and locations for future travel reservations.
Q: Why have you closed resorts?
A: We have closed our club hotels and resorts because of the ongoing health and travel restrictions, and the potential these have to last longer. We are adhering to the advice from regional governments, protecting our owners, guests and employees and, together, we are doing our part to help halt the spread of COVID-19.
Q: What date are these resorts closed until?
A: At this stage, our two club resorts in Phuket, Thailand, and Club Wyndham Dreamland Bali are likely to be closed until June 30, while Club Wyndham South Pacific resorts are temporarily closed until at least May 31, although five are expected to open from June 1. US resorts are temporarily closed. Please contact your Member Services team to find out when reservations can be made for Club Wyndham and WorldMark by Wyndham properties in the US or for Associate resorts in Asia Pacific.
Q: How is Wyndham Destinations Asia Pacific responding to the changing novel coronavirus/COVID-19 situation?
A: The health and safety of our members, guests and staff is our top priority. We are closely monitoring guidance from public health authorities around the world and we have closed our Club Wyndham Asia and Club Wyndham South Pacific resorts in response to the ongoing risk and travel restrictions.
We have also formed an Asia Pacific response team and they are meeting regularly, monitoring the latest news, implementing guidelines in line with health authorities and liaising with our business continuity team at a global level.
Q: What precautionary measures are being taken at resorts to reduce the spread of illness?
A: All Club Wyndham Asia and Club Wyndham South Pacific resorts are closed and all Club Wyndham and WorldMark by Wyndham resorts in the US are closed. We do not manage Associate Resorts or Affiliate Resorts available through RCI and Wyndham Rewards so, if you have concerns about one of these properties, we recommend contacting the resort where you have made a reservation and ask them about their health and hygiene procedures.
Q: I am thinking of cancelling my upcoming vacation because of novel coronavirus/COVID-19. What do you recommend?
A: The decision to travel or not travel is a personal one that should be made with full awareness of the developing novel coronavirus/COVID-19 situation. People who may be at higher risk of illness should consult with their healthcare provider prior to travel.
All Club Wyndham Asia, Club Wyndham South Pacific, Club Wyndham and WorldMark by Wyndham resorts are currently closed, although some Club Wyndham South Pacific resorts are due to open on June 1. We do not manage Associate Resorts or Affiliate Resorts available through RCI and Wyndham Rewards so, if you have concerns about one of these properties, we recommend contacting the resort where you have made a reservation and ask them about their health and hygiene procedures.
Q: If I choose to cancel because of novel coronavirus/COVID-19, will I be penalised?
A: If you choose not to travel, our Member Services team would like to help you cancel your existing holiday plans and put together an alternative plan. Please contact your Member Services team using the numbers that appear on our website, clubwyndhamasia.com/contact-us/ and we will be able to go through your options with you.
Our Member Services team has been contacting our Club Wyndham Asia members with bookings at affected club resorts during closure periods, to revise their reservations and work with them to arrange holidays at a later date.
Q: Will you provide an extension of expired points if these were used for a booking I am cancelling?
A: Member Services will be able to help you cancel your booking and use those expired points to make an alternate booking.
Q: Are Grab and Go deals included in the cancellation policy?
Q: What about bookings through external providers or using exchange transactions?
A: Wyndham Rewards has a separate cancellation policy which you can see by visiting: wyndhamhotels.com/en-ap/wyndham-rewards
RCI reservations will be subject to a separate cancellation policy. Please call Member Services using the numbers that appear on our website, clubwyndhamasia.com/contact-us/
Q: What is likely to happen in the future?
A: The situation is rapidly evolving and new restrictions, health and travel advice is being released frequently. We have teams monitoring this and responding to changes as quickly as we can. It is difficult to anticipate exactly what will happen but travel restrictions may mean that club resorts will stay closed past May 31. We will keep you informed.

Member fees ensure your club resorts are kept in excellent condition for your next holiday with Club Wyndham Asia and that a consistently high standard exists across your club resorts.
It is important to pay member fees because there are many fixed costs required to keep your club properties maintained to a high standard that do not change even if the resort is temporarily closed. These include rates, taxes, insurance, compliance costs, federal and state laws, refurbishments and some labour and support contracts.
We are also doing the best that we can to ensure you can enjoy the points you would have used during this period, so that you can continue to receive the full value from your membership that paying your member fees entitles you to.
